If you’re in or passing through Edmonton in the next six weeks don’t pass up the chance to view “Beauty Under Pressure” at the Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium.
This unique exhibition of printmaking is the direct result of our in-house printmaking residency in partnership with James Boychuk-Hunter of the Nina Hagerty Studio. James spent two weeks with In-Definite Arts artists teaching different printmaking skills such as drypoint engraving (using a needle to incise images directly into a plexiglass plate), linocut (carving into linoleum as a relief surface) and monotype (a painterly process where an image is painted onto a flat surface and then transferred onto a piece of paper) to create one-of-a-kind printed images.
Sincere thanks are extended to the Friends of the Alberta Jubilee Auditorium Society for their generous support of IDAS’ 2017 Art Residency program. To learn more about residencies at In-Definite Arts, or to apply to be a guest artist yourself, click here.
The exhibit runs from June 16th to July 28th and is open to all members of the public. If you are interested in purchasing any of the art, please contact The In-Definite Arts at email@example.com or 403-253-3174.
